Keynote Address :
The Story of Isaac Newton

Every physicist knows a great deal about Newton’s physics, but much of what is commonly known about his life story is out of date. Dr. Davis’s doctoral mentor, the late Richard S. Westfall, wrote the definitive biography of Newton; Davis also follows the work of several other Newton experts. This talk presents Newton’s family background, personality, education, religious views, and brief political career, updating the picture many physicists have of him.
